INNOVERSITY NETWORK
The word INNOVERSITY (innovation + diversity) was initially framed by Innoversity Network founder Susanne Justesen in her working paper from 2001, in which
she provided a theoretical exploration of the link between diversity and innovation.
This initial work was subsequently (in Justesen's Ph.D. research) developed into an INNOVERSITY model (2007): which introduced a radically new and practical approach as to how to map and leverage diversity (of knowledge domains) for innovation.
WHAT IS INNOVERSITY NETWORK?
Innoversity Network has existed since 2000 and is a network for organisations, companies and people interested in the relationship between innovation and diversity - and how to foster innovation by making use of diversity - and avoiding homogeneity.
The network has been relatively inactive for several years, but is now - late 2008 - being relaunched with on a new platform and with a series of new and interesting activities, to accommodate our many new members from all over the world.
Members of Innoversity Network receive the bi-monthly newsletter, and invitations to network events; and are able to benefit from the resources available here at the website.
THE INNOVERSITY NETWORK MISSION
The humble vision of INNOVERSITY Network is to free the world from the homogeneity prevailing in most settings; by building capabilities as to how to instead leverage diversity for innovation in our organisations, companies and institutions. This vision then translates into these two INNOVERSITY NETWORK goals:
WHO DID ALREADY JOIN THE NETWORK
Since 2000 where the network was first launched, more than 600 people have joined INNOVERSITY NETWORK from more than 30 different countries. INNOVERSITY NETWORK members represent an important diversity in and of themselves, spanning corporate innovation managers, artists, city officials, designers, Human resource professionals etc.
All of these INNOVERSITY NETWORK members have one interest in common: how to break away from homogeneity, and how to find new ways of leveraging diversity for innovation. Should you be one of them? And the best of it all is that membership is free - you can sign up here!
